Abstract: SWD launched Multi-disciplinary Outreaching Support Teams for the Elderly (MOSTE). Comprising social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists, MOSTE provides outreach support services for the service users of private residential care homes for the elderly (RCHEs) to address their social and rehabilitation needs. MOSTE also provides speech therapy service by speech therapists for the service users of contract RCHEs (including the Day Care Units (DCUs) attached to contract RCHEs) as well as self-financing RCHEs and self-financing Nursing Homes (NHs) who have swallowing difficulties or speech impairment.

摘要: 為支援私營安老院舍住客的社交和康復需要，社署推行「安老院舍外展專業服務」計劃，成立以地區為本並包括社會工作者、物理治療師、職業治療師及言語治療師在內的專業團隊，為私營安老院的住客提供外展服務。除了私營安老院舍的住客外，當中的外展言語治療服務亦會支援合約院舍（包括其附設的長者日間護理單位）及自負盈虧安老院舍／護養院，為吞嚥困難或有言語障礙的長者提供服務。
