Abstract: In accordance with section 18 of the Electoral Affairs Commission Ordinance (Cap 541), the Electoral Affairs Commission (“EAC”) submitted to the Chief Executive (“CE”) a report on its recommendations on the constituencies boundaries for the 1999 District Council Ordinary Election on 15 May 1999. The CE in Council accepted the recommendations on 25 May 1999 and, pursuant to section 6 of the District Councils Ordinance (Cap 547), made the Declaration of Constituencies (District Councils) Order 1999. For details about the delineation exercise, please refer to the abovementioned report, which is available at the EAC’s website (www.eac.hk).
