Abstract: The EPD has a comprehensive marine water quality monitoring programme in Hong Kong since 1986, which covers 94 water sampling stations in the open sea, semi-enclosed bays and typhoon shelters. A range of physical parameters, including temperature, pH, salinity, turbidity and dissolved oxygen, are measured in situ. In addition, the water samples are collected for laboratory analyses of some 20 parameters such as nutrients, organic constituents and microbiological contents. You can retrieve marine water quality data between 1986 and 2022 through the hyperlink embedded to every marine water monitoring station, under the selected water control zone.
